SELAIYUR

30+ Years | 370+ Students Annually | 5+ Skill Programs

Established in 1993, the Vocational Training Centre of the Rotary Club of Madras Selaiyur has evolved from a boys’ hostel into a vibrant hub for community development, women empowerment, and livelihood creation. The centre provides certified skill training programs that help individuals build employable capabilities and access sustainable income opportunities.

Our Mission

Women Empowerment
The centre is dedicated to empowering women and homemakers by equipping them with practical skills that lead to financial independence and greater confidence. Through structured vocational programs, women gain the tools to participate in the workforce, start small enterprises, and contribute meaningfully to their families and communities.

Skilling & Livelihood
Our training programs focus on industry-relevant skills that translate into employment and self-employment opportunities. In collaboration with institutions such as NIIT Foundation and the Apparel Skill India Council, the centre offers structured courses that combine practical learning with certification, helping learners build sustainable livelihoods.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI)
The centre operates with a strong commitment to inclusive access to education and opportunity. Programs are designed to support women, youth, and individuals from diverse socio-economic backgrounds, ensuring equitable access to skills, knowledge, and economic participation.
